Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@anvilhq.io of any unauthorized use.

2. Teams and workspaces

The Service is organized around teams (workspaces). If you create or join a team, content and settings are shared with members of that team according to their roles. The team owner/admins may manage membership, content, and the subscription, and may be able to access content you contribute to the workspace. Do not invite people to a workspace or share content you are not authorized to share.

3. Subscriptions, trials, credits, and payments

• Paid plans, free trials, included credits, and dubbing minutes are described on our pricing page. We may offer a free trial; if a trial converts to a paid plan, you authorize the applicable charges.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges for the plan and billing interval you select until you cancel.
• AI features consume credits (and dubbing consumes minutes) according to the rates shown in the app. Credits and minutes may expire at the end of a billing period unless stated otherwise, and are not redeemable for cash.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
• We may change prices or plan features on a prospective basis with reasonable notice.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any law or infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others.
• Upload or generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative of minors, or that depicts real individuals in a misleading or harmful way (including deceptive deepfakes).
• Upload content, including images, audio, or video, that you do not have the rights to use, or that you are not permitted to submit to our AI subprocessors.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems, or circumvent usage limits, metering, or security controls.
• Resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
• Misuse competitor-intelligence or marketplace features to harass or deceive others.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you upload or create in the Service (“Your Content”). You grant AnvilHQ a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content, and to share it with the subprocessors described in our Privacy Policy, solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your team. You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload Your Content and to grant this license.

6. AI-generated output

The Service uses third-party AI models (including Google Gemini and, where enabled, OpenAI) to generate content such as thumbnails, titles, ideas, budgets, and dubbing. As between you and AnvilHQ, you own the outputs you generate, subject to the AI providers’ terms and applicable law. You acknowledge that:

• AI output may be inaccurate, may resemble output generated for other users, and may not be eligible for certain intellectual-property protection. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on or publishing it.
• You must not use AI features to create content that is illegal, infringing, or otherwise prohibited under Section 4, and you are responsible for your use of any output.
• Budget estimates, competitor intel, and similar outputs are informational only and do not constitute professional, financial, legal, or business advice.

7. Marketplace and partnership features

The video-edit marketplace and partnership/CRM features let users connect, post jobs, and track deals. AnvilHQ is not a party to any agreement, transaction, or relationship you form with another user or third party, and is not responsible for the conduct, content, or payments between such parties. You are solely responsible for your dealings with others.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party providers (see our Privacy Policy). Your use of those features may also be subject to the providers’ terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services. Public social media data surfaced through search/competitor features belongs to its respective owners and platforms.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the AnvilHQ name and logo, is owned by AnvilHQ and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, we reserve all rights. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete Your Content after a reasonable period, subject to our retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AnvilHQ and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AnvilHQ from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue features of the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
